2021 Adult Small Group Bible Study

To further facilitate growth in our faith as disciples of Jesus Christ, the Christian Education Committee is offering an adult Bible study this winter. Inspired by CMPC’s Mission Expansion renovations, and extending from our exploration of different Christian faiths last fall, we have chosen to study “Christianity and World Religions: Questions We Ask About Other Faiths, revised edition” by Adam Hamilton. It is a 6-week study.

Due to public health considerations, the entire series will be held remotely, over Zoom.

The exact start date and weekly meetings have not been finalized yet, but we are waiting until January, after the holidays. Please indicate your preference using the online form. The study is structured so the chapters are fairly independent, so it’s fine to participate even if you know you cannot virtually attend 6 consecutive weeks.

Historically, a group has met on  Sunday mornings before service; additional groups may form to meet at other times. Please indicate your availability using the online form.

We encourage participants to purchase their own copy of the participant guide from their favorite online retailer. Some paperback regular font options (ISBN: 9781501873331)- Amazon, Bookshop, Cokesbury, Barnes& Noble.  Large print editions (ISBN: 9781501883149) and ebook editions are available from most retailers. If you need help ordering online, or need financial assistance to cover the costs, please contact Becky Zordan (rebecca.zordan@gmail.com).

If you are interested in participating, please sign up online and purchase a book. If you are curious and want to learn more, please sign up online without purchasing the book – you’re welcome to join the discussion even if you haven’t read the material. You can then decide if you want to continue and purchase your book.

More details will be sent closer to the date. If you have questions, please contact Becky Zordan (rebecca.zordan@gmail.com).
