Worship Every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

We love sharing the Word of God with children here at Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church. They serve as worship leaders through our LOGOS ministry, come forward each Sunday for a Moment With the Children, and preschool-second graders attend Sunday Experience. Below you’ll find how Sunday Experience works.

Sunday Experience

Sunday Experience is a special program just for children during Christ Memorial’s Sunday Worship Service. The program is held year-round and all children in preschool through second grade are welcome.

How it works: Children attend the 10:30 a.m. worship service with their parents, and after the “moment with children” they are invited to go downstairs for the rest of the service. The children are broken down into two groups – the preschoolers meet in one and children from kindergarten through grade 2 meet in the other. The SE program is designed to teach children worship skills, but each group has lessons tailored to their age and ability. Both programs let the children participate in a more child-friendly, shortened version of worship. The children in the K – grade 2 class learn specific aspects of worship, like the Apostle’s Creed and the Lord’s Prayer, through participation. Each lesson includes music – either played or sung by the children themselves. Often, Sunday Experience concludes with a craft, puzzle, or other lesson activity. The preschool class uses the same theme – but focuses more on a story-based approach and lots of teacher attention!
