The Session voted to support the CMPC Reopening Task Force proposal to keep the building closed until Dec. 1 and to continue to permit sole use of the church grounds by CMPC groups. This decision will give Pastor Hoffman a month to prepare after he returns from sabbatical, and will be regularly revisited in the interim should any pertinent changes to governmental policy or task force recommendations occur.
In other business:
- The Session approved a proposal by the Worship and Music Committee to accept a bid from SoundFocus LLC of Strasburg, Pa., for the purchase and installation of upgraded a/v equipment. This project will enhance the quality of live-streamed worship services and also permit live-streaming of in-person services whenever they resume in the Sanctuary. A timeline for installation is yet to be determined.
- The Session approved the celebration of communion on Sunday, Sept. 13. Details to come.
