Here’s what has happened in the last weeks:
- Grading work has begun around the Shaker Drive addition and will continue to include the new location of the playground
- Drywall is up almost entirely in both levels of the Shaker Drive addition
- Work continues on restoring the lower level restrooms (near the church office)
- More curbs have been poured as have the new sidewalks
- The portion of the ceiling in fellowship hall that was demolished has been reframed and drywall has been hung
- The prep work on the subfloor in the new addition is just about done
- The drop ceiling in the downstairs hallway has been installed
- Most of the roofing has been completed
- The new vent hood for the kitchen was installed
- The new floor in the kitchen has been laid
- Work continues on the new driveway
Here’s what is scheduled to happen in the next week (or so):
- The hold opens will be installed for the new doors at the top of the new stairs
- Work will begin on finishing the classroom across from the pastor’s office
- The new floor will be laid in the office/classroom hallway
- Floor tile will be laid in the new bathrooms and in the lower level of the Shaker Drive addition
- The kitchen appliances and other equipment will be delivered and installed
