Here’s what has happened in the last week:
- The baseboard was installed in the sanctuary
- Work continues on the new site lights in the parking lot
- The storm drain between Shaker Drive and the church was installed
- The stairs closest to the sanctuary and the wooden exit stairs out of Fellowship Hall have been removed
- Sprinkler installation continues in the Shaker Drive addition
- The church office, pastor’s office, and classroom will receive finishing touches by week’s end and be handed back over to CMPC (offices will move back next week)
- Work began on demolishing the chimney
- The drywall in the new entrance was finished and painted
- Work continues on the EFIS (the bands above and below the Hardie board on the exterior of the building)
Here’s what is scheduled to happen in the next week (or so):
- The work will begin on installing the new roofs and replacing the sanctuary roof
- Demolition work will continue in Fellowship Hall—including the removal of the windows on the Shaker Drive side
- Grading work will be done around the Shaker Drive addition
- The tile floor will be laid in the new entrance
- Work will begin on restoring the lower level restrooms (near the church office)
- Work will begin on infilling the upper level floors at the old stair locations
