Christ Memorial Church, you are invited to remember the universality of the Body of Christ by helping to provide bread for our shared celebration on World Communion Sunday!
We have recipes for 12 different breads from around the world; we invite you to bake and bring for our shared communion. Please bake two of your selected loaf so that both sides of the church may share.
Recipes are provided below, everything from the South Pole (Brazilian Corn Bread) to the North Pole (Finnish Cardamom Bread)—-and 10 others in-between.
We also welcome treasured ethnic breads from your family heritage; just let us know!
All breads must be clearly labeled for our Communion Bread Buffet!
At least one selection will be gluten-free.
Please drop off any prepared and wrapped bread at Christ Memorial on Saturday, October 5, between 4-6 PM. (We can receive a few breads Sunday 10/6 by 9:15 AM)
