Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church supports a variety of national and international missions both in person and through donation fundraisers. A brief description of each mission CMPC supports is provided below.

National Missions:

Dustin and Holly Garner Ministry with OneEleven Global
The committee continues to support the ministry of Dustin and Holly Garner at OneEleven Ministries in Kansas City where they are preparing interns to sing and pray the Bible and share God’s goodness through evangelistic outreaches. They have recently resumed their travels overseas with OneEleven.  https://111global.org/

Pine Springs Camp
The committee supports the summer camp at Pine Springs Camp in Jennerstown, PA, which a number of CMPC families attend.  Pine Springs strives to provide every camper with an encounter with Jesus Christ that leads to growth in faith and discipleship. https://pinesprings.org

Fuller Center Disaster Rebuilders
The Fuller Center mobilizes resources and volunteers to respond to natural disasters (primarily hurricanes and floods) in the United States.  It works exclusively in low-income communities and with poor families in need of assistance.  Last year the committee supported the re-build of a fire damaged house in Mississippi.

Global Missions:

Uganda Water Project
Drinkable water is rare in Uganda (the U.N. says less than 20% of people have access to it). In western Uganda, most people get their water from traditional wells, rivers, and water piped down from the mountains. All these sources are contaminated, even the piped water. Water-borne diseases such as typhoid, dysentery, and cholera are endemic to Uganda.   The primary focus of UWP is to provide simple filter systems based on 0.1-micron filters that trap over 99.99999% of bacteria, thus freeing the users from the ravages of typhoid, dysentery, cholera, bilharzia, and other water-borne diseases endemic to the area.  www.ugandawaterproject.org

World Central Kitchen
WCK is the first to the frontlines, providing freshly-cooked hot meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.  They have provided millions of meals in Haiti, Ukraine, Gaza, the United States, and many more countries.  www,wck.org

Presbyterian Education Board (Pakistan)
The committee continued its long-standing relationship with Friends of the Presbyterian Education Board (Pakistan), whose mission is to provide high quality education to individuals of all religious backgrounds, regardless of their ability to pay, and who choose to attend a missionary-based institution reflecting Christian values. https://www.friendsofpeb.org/

Presbyterian Disaster Agency (PDA)
In response to the devastating wild fires in Maui (Hawaii) in August 2023, the committee matched contributions from the congregation which was sent to PDA to support relief efforts with local partners on the ground.  In response to the Israel-Gaza war, the committee sent a donation to support PDA’s humanitarian relief efforts with local partners in Israel and Gaza.

Ahli Arab Hospital (Gaza)
For a number of years, the committee has supported Ahli Arab Hospital that is managed by the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem. Founded in 1882, it is one of the oldest hospitals in Gaza and the only Christian hospital.  It was badly damaged during the recent fighting in Gaza but continues to function as best it can.  For more information, please visit https://afedj.org/
