Here’s what has happened in the last week:

  • Work has been completed on the framing out of the new perimeter bulkhead in the sanctuary (which will hide the new sprinkler pipe)
  • Steel columns and beams for the new stair tower and entrance have been installed
  • The heads are being installed on the new sprinkler system in the sanctuary
  • Ductwork has been installed connecting the new sanctuary HVAC unit to the building
  • Insulation was added to the new upper level fellowship hall exterior walls
  • New windows were installed next to the entrance to the area under the sanctuary

Here’s what is scheduled to happen in the next week (or so):

  • The concrete will be poured for the slab of the new entrance
  • The new exterior walls of fellowship hall will be drywalled in
  • Excavation will begin for the new addition on the Shaker Drive side of the building
  • The footers for the new addition will be prepped and poured
  • More trees and shrubs will be removed
  • The holes in the sanctuary ceiling will be patched
