All ages are invited to join us Sunday, May 7 (5:00-8:00pm) for our next GIFT (Generations In Faith Together) event–a Movie Night, presented by the Christian Education and Fellowship Committees. Akeelah and the Bee (PG) tells the story of an 11-year old girl who participates in the National Spelling Bee. The theme for the inspirational movie is about overcoming obstacles despite difficult challenges along the way. Akeelah is coached by Dr. Larabee, portrayed by Laurence Fishburne.
