The Session accepted an invitation from the Presbytery for CMPC to host the Sept. 8th Gathering, with details to come on the army of volunteers that will be needed for that event. The church will also host, but not organize, a Presbytery training session on dismantling racism on June 2.
In other business:
- Pastor Scott Hoffman announced that the visioning committee held its first meeting and will soon be seeking feedback from church officers and the congregation to set goals for CMPC’s future by year’s end as a continuation of our Ministry Expansion Plan.
- Pastor Scott also said our building contractor expects a new application of waterproofing to the exterior wall of the Trinity Room should finally resolve the ongoing moisture problem on an interior wall. That work is taking place this week.
- The Session discussed resuming having children come forward for the Moment with the Children during worship. Pastor Scott will touch base with those who lead this time to gauge their comfort level with resuming this practice and report back to the session.
