Here’s what has happened in the last weeks:
- Sprinkler installation continues in the Shaker Drive addition and has also spread to the preschool rooms
- Grading work has begun around the Shaker Drive addition and will continue to include the new location of the playground
- Drywall is going up in both levels of the Shaker Drive addition
- Work continues on restoring the lower level restrooms (near the church office)
- More curbs have been poured
- The portion of the celling in fellowship hall that was demolished has been reframed as has been the continuation of the ductwork bulkhead
Here’s what is scheduled to happen in the next week (or so):
- Some of the drop ceiling will be finished in the downstairs hallway
- Roofing work will continue
- The hold opens will be installed for the new doors at the top of the new stairs
- The walls of the new Shaker Drive addition will be primed and painted
- The new vent hood for the kitchen will be installed
- Work will begin on the new flooring in the Shaker Drive addition
- Work will begin on finishing the classroom across from the pastor’s office
- The new floor will be laid in the office/classroom hallway
