Here’s what has happened in the last week:
- The power switchover took place on Tuesday. BGE and our electrical subcontractor (Shaw Electric) worked hard to get the power restored before the end of the day
- Electrical work throughout the building continues
- Work has begun on the water main project along Shaker Drive (which will provide our new water service)
- The foundation for the new stair tower was poured and passed inspection
- The cinder block portion of the walls of the stair tower were constructed
- The new sanctuary HVAC was delivered
- The new windows for the fellowship hall end of the building have been installed
- A new temporary heating system was delivered and installed
Here’s what is scheduled to happen in the next week (or so):
- Work continues on the framing out of the new perimeter bulkhead in the sanctuary (which will hide the new sprinkler pipe)
- Steel columns and beams for the new stair tower and entrance will be installed
- The concrete slab of the new stair tower and entrance will be poured
- Work will continue on the sprinkler system in the sanctuary
