It was a beautiful month at Christ Memorial Christian Preschool bursting with Spring. It was so wonderful to share the Easter story with our children in the preschool. We welcomed Pastor Scott to teach us the Easter story and he shared about the joy of opening an EMPTY present! The children really understood how exciting it could be to find the open tomb on Easter morning.
Upon returning from Spring Break our classes jumped right back into learning. We focused on learning about animals in our 4 -year old classes. They children discovered the world of animals; from jungles animals to animals from eggs and even animals that can be our pets! We culminated this study by welcoming the preschool families to bring their own pets to our playground to introduce to the children.
Our 3-year old classes learned about plants this month. They then had the opportunity to explore Sharp’s Farm in Western Howard County. On this trip, they went on a hayride, met many different farm animals and even planted their very own herb or vegetable plant to bring home!
This month we also completed our St. Jude Trike-a-Thon. During this event, our preschool children raised donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and then brought in their bikes/trikes to complete a bike course in the church parking lot. This was a very special day and meaningful way for our children to learn how they can help others, specifically children like themselves!
