On November 13th, CMPC celebrated LOGOS Sunday, an annual event during which participants in our LOGOS program lead worship! The program is a mid-week inter-generational experience for children and youth. LOGOS can be found in churches all over the US and Canada under the umbrella of GenOn Ministries (www.genonministries.org).
Every Wednesday from October through March, about 165 children and adults gather here at CMPC to share a meal together (Family Time), study scripture (Bible Time), sing in choirs and prepare other offerings for our Worship Service (Worship Arts), and play (Recreation). Our age designations for the various children and youth groups are as follows:
• BUGS (preschool) – Bringing Up God’s Servants
• FROG (elementary) – Fully Rely on God
• ROCK (middle school) – Reaching Out for Christ’s Kingdom
• FISH (high school) – Fellowship in Senior High
The LOGOS leadership team served as greeters and shared the role of liturgist in our LOGOs worship service. Some of our FISH youth served as ushers. All of our Logos children and youth participated through Worship Arts offerings.
CMPC has enjoyed an active LOGOS program now for 29 years. Contact our Director, Carrie Jenkins at logos@cmpcusa.org to learn more!
