How wonderful it was on Sunday, November 6th to participate with the entire congregation in walking forward, at the end of the service, to place our Estimate of Giving cards and Time and Talent surveys in baskets. I don’t know about anyone else, but I truly felt God’s presence and blessing as I looked at the circle we formed around the sanctuary. As each person read off the yellow slip of paper they had taken, we heard the many ways CMPC has blessed the people of our congregation. From wonderful worship, to Pastor Scott, to support in times of need to fellowship, friends and a sense of belonging, we have all been blessed by God through the ministry and people of CMPC.
Those blessings – and all the other gifts we’ve been given by God – are the foundation on which Stewardship is based. We have been given all by God, and He asks for only a portion in return. We are stewards of all the resources, abilities and opportunities that God has entrusted into our care.
To date, 91 families/members have pledged for next year. If you have not yet returned an Estimate of Giving card, I encourage you to do so in the next week or two. Similarly, if you still need to complete the Time and Talent survey, you may do so online or with a paper copy, available in the narthex. These are essential tools in the planning of future ministry at CMPC!
