Last Saturday evening a little more than forty people from the youngest to the oldest gathered for our latest GIFT (Generations In Faith Together) event to share a meal, watch a movie and have conversation.
We watched “Up,” a movie about Carl, a 78-year old balloon salesman who takes off on a fantastic journey of a lifetime with an unlikely companion–a young boy named Russell. The story is one of friendships–and the ups and downs (pun intended) that all relationships take. Before the movie we looked at what the Bible says about friendships and afterwards discussed how important friends are to our own faith. Movie Night is certain to be a repeated event!
Save the date for our next GIFT–packaging meals with Stop Hunger Now on Saturday, May 21.
