The Rev. Dr. Richard L. Sheffield has been a Presbyterian pastor for 28 years. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Louisville Seminary, a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Seminary and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He recently completed “Fundamentals of Transitional Ministry” training with the Interim Ministry Network.

Dick and his wife Xavia have two adult children and have been married for 33 years. They met in a new member class at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City where Dick first sensed his call to ministry. Before attending seminary Dick worked in merchandising and was a budget manager on Wall Street.

The Rev. Craig Barton has been at Christ Memorial since the summer of 2005.  Prior to coming here, Rev. Barton was the organizing pastor for a new church plant in O'Fallon, IL, which was only about an hour from where he was born and raised in Missouri.

Craig received his Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, where he also met and married his wife, Mary, who is originally from Maryland.  They have one son, Jeremy, who remains a loyal fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, despite being born (and now raised) in Maryland.
